Body Found Inside Neighbor’s House
The victim, identified as Rahul (26), was found dead in a house near Valmiki Temple in Barara, Ambala district. According to police, the son of the house owner informed Rahul’s family about the death before reportedly leaving the scene.
Barara Police Station has registered a murder FIR against nine accused based on a complaint filed by the victim’s elder brother, Gaurav Kumar. Police officials said the investigation is underway and efforts are being made to locate everyone who was with Rahul on the night of the incident.
Family Alleges Rahul Was Taken Away by Local Youths
According to the complaint, Rahul was at home on the night of June 27 when three local youths—identified as Israr, Naseeb, and Naseem—came to call him. Although Rahul’s mother and sister initially refused to let him go, the men persuaded him to accompany them, saying he would return shortly.
The following morning, another local resident informed the family that Rahul was lying dead inside Salman Ali’s upper-floor room.
When family members reached the house, they found Rahul’s body with severe injuries. His brother alleged that Rahul’s eyes appeared damaged, blood was flowing from his nose and ears, his shirt was missing, and his neck was bent unnaturally. Based on these allegations, police registered a murder case against nine individuals.
Police Await Post-Mortem Report
Station House Officer Ram Karan said investigators are waiting for the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death. Police are also searching for the other young men who were reportedly with Rahul before his death.
The officer confirmed that a full investigation is underway and all evidence is being examined.
Bloodstains Found Inside the House
Rahul’s brother, Gaurav, said his younger brother was unmarried and worked as a daily wage labourer. After Rahul failed to return home that night, the family searched for him throughout the night but found no trace of him until receiving information about his death the following morning.
When relatives visited the house where Rahul’s body was discovered, they reportedly noticed bloodstains on the staircase and inside the kitchen.
Police stated that the property where the body was found is occupied by a tenant. According to the tenant, Rahul and several of his friends arrived during the night, but he claimed he did not hear any argument or fight. He discovered Rahul’s body the next morning.
