Kailash Temple Ambala
Thousands of devotees gathered at the historic Shri Kailash Temple in Ambala Cantonment’s Hathikhana area to celebrate the holy month of Sawan with deep devotion and spiritual enthusiasm. The temple organized a magnificent Lord Shiva decoration ceremony (Shringar) under the guidance of Mahant Manmohan Das, drawing worshippers from across the city.
The beautifully decorated idol of Lord Shiva became the main attraction of the event, with devotees offering prayers and seeking blessings throughout the day.
Lord Shiva Decorated with Ghevar, Lotus Flowers and Fresh Fruits
Temple volunteers created a breathtaking divine appearance for Lord Shiva using traditional Ghevar sweets, lotus flowers, rose petals, fresh fruits, and decorative biscuits. The unique floral and festive arrangement left devotees mesmerized as they witnessed the beautifully adorned deity.
The temple premises echoed with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Bholenath,” creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Devotional Bhajans Enthrall Worshippers
Following the grand Shringar ceremony, a devotional music program was held where Lalit Papiha and Party presented soulful bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva. The devotional performances inspired many devotees to sing along and dance in celebration.
The spiritual gathering continued until late evening, filling the temple with devotion and positive energy.
Maha Aarti and Prasad Distribution
The celebrations concluded with a grand Maha Aarti, during which hundreds of devotees participated together in offering prayers. After the aarti, the temple committee distributed special prasad to all attendees.
Sanatan Dharma Temple Also Organizes Shiva Mahapuran Katha
Another major religious event was organized at the Sanatan Dharma Temple on Hill Road in Ambala Cantonment. A Shiva Mahapuran Katha was conducted from 5 PM to 7 PM, where Pandit Buddhi Vallabh Shastri narrated the glory of Lord Shiva.
Later in the evening, the temple also performed an elaborate floral decoration of Lord Shiva using lotus flowers, rose petals, and fresh fruits, allowing devotees to witness another beautiful divine form during the auspicious month of Sawan.
The Sawan celebrations at both temples strengthened the spirit of devotion among worshippers and highlighted Ambala’s rich religious traditions.
