The accused, identified as Dharmveer, allegedly carried out the attack with a sharp-edged weapon before fleeing the scene along with his wife.

According to reports, the incident took place in Seli village of Almora district. The victim, Chandrashekhar Pandey, was found dead after being attacked inside his home. Police suspect that the accused and his wife locked other family members inside a room before escaping.

Police have registered a murder case and initiated a search operation to trace the accused couple. Several teams have been formed, and officials are examining possible motives behind the crime. Family members and neighbors are also being questioned as part of the investigation.

The incident has created shock and concern among residents of the village, who are struggling to understand how a family dispute could escalate into such a violent act. Authorities have assured that the accused will be arrested soon and brought to justice.
