Gold Biscuit Snatching in Ambala: Two Youths Flee with 10-Gram Gold Biscuit

Gold biscuit snatching, Ambala/Barara: Two youths allegedly fled with a 10-gram gold biscuit from Gautam Jewellers on Bank Road in Barara on Sunday afternoon. The gold biscuit was reportedly worth around ₹1.43 lakh.

According to the shop owner, Gautam Mason, the two youths arrived outside the jewellery shop on a motorcycle at around 2 pm. One of them remained on the motorcycle while the other entered the shop.

The youth initially asked to see a gold chain. During the conversation, he told the shopkeeper that he wanted to buy gold as an investment and asked whether a gold biscuit was available.

Gold Biscuit Worth Around ₹1.43 Lakh

The shopkeeper showed him a 10-gram gold biscuit. The youth got the biscuit weighed and agreed to purchase it. The price was reportedly fixed at around ₹1.43 lakh.

The accused then allegedly said that he would make the payment online. Taking advantage of the situation, he left the shop with the gold biscuit and fled on the motorcycle along with his accomplice.

Police Check CCTV Footage

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the jewellery shop and began investigating the matter. Police teams are examining CCTV footage from cameras installed around the area to identify the two suspects.

Investigators are also checking the route taken by the accused after the incident and collecting other possible clues. Police are continuing efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects.
