Uproar at Dera Sirasgarh
Ambala: Mulana police have registered a case against several people following an alleged uproar at Dera Sirasgarh. The complaint includes allegations of hurting religious sentiments, creating a disturbance and issuing threats.
The case was registered on the complaint of Chaman Lal, a resident of Yamunanagar. Police have named Punjab residents Balbir Bangarh, CK Jassi and Manjit Rai Bal, along with around 20 to 25 unidentified people.
Police said the identities of the other people involved will be established during the investigation, after which further action will be taken.
Incident Reported During Police Checking
According to the complaint, Chaman Lal had visited Dera Sirasgarh on August 12 for religious purposes. During his visit, a group of people arrived at the Dera premises in a Punjab-registered minibus and an Innova car.
The group was reportedly stopped during routine police checking. According to the complaint, the people became angry and allegedly argued with the police personnel. They also reportedly refused to cooperate with the checking.
The situation allegedly escalated inside the Dera premises, where the group created a disturbance.
Allegations of Abusive Remarks and Threats
The complaint further alleges that the people used inappropriate and objectionable language against Dera sewadars, including Sant Mandeep Das.
According to the complaint, Balbir Bangarh allegedly threatened to have the Dera vacated and claimed that it would be forcibly taken over. The complaint also alleges that Manjit Rai Bal talked about taking a weapon out of a vehicle.
These allegations are part of the police complaint and are yet to be established through investigation.
Disputed Notice Raises Another Concern
Chaman Lal also told police that on August 13, he learned about a notice issued on the letterhead of Dera Sant Sarwan Das Ji. The notice reportedly contained a warning regarding the vacation of the Dera.
However, when contacted, the manager of Dera Ballan reportedly denied any connection with the notice and described it as completely fake.
Police Investigation Underway
Mulana police station SHO Pramod Singh confirmed that an FIR has been registered based on the complaint.
Police are now investigating the allegations and working to identify the unidentified people named in the case. Officials said further action will be taken based on the evidence collected during the investigation.
The case involves allegations related to religious sentiments, disturbance and threats, while the claims made in the complaint remain subject to police investigation.
