Ambala Train Accident: Woman Dies After Being Hit by Train Near Railway Station

A tragic Ambala train accident claimed the life of a 61-year-old woman after she was struck by a train near Ambala Cantonment Railway Station on Sunday morning. The Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot soon after receiving information and have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Woman Identified as Rajni Bala

The deceased has been identified as Rajni Bala (61), a resident of Kailash Nagar, Model Town, Ambala City.

According to GRP officials, the accident occurred at around 8:51 AM on the down railway line near the railway station. The woman’s body was recovered from the track, and police immediately initiated legal procedures.

Family Confirmed the Identity

GRP Investigation Officer Karn Singh stated that the deceased was identified by her husband Ashwani Kumar and son Umang Khurana.

Family members confirmed her identity after reaching the scene. Officials also noted that the woman was wearing some jewelry at the time of the accident.

Post-Mortem Underway

Police have taken the body into custody and initiated post-mortem proceedings to determine the exact cause of death.

The GRP is investigating every aspect of the incident to establish how the woman came into contact with the train. At present, authorities have not released any further details regarding the circumstances leading to the accident.
