Ambala Train Accident
Two separate railway accidents in Ambala claimed the lives of two unidentified men after they reportedly fell from moving trains. The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered both bodies from different locations and shifted them to the mortuary for identification and post-mortem examination.
Body Found Near Jandli Bridge
According to GRP officials, the first body was discovered between the up and down railway tracks near Jandli Bridge, on the Chandigarh-bound railway line. The body was found around kilometer marker 200/14-15.
Investigating officer Veena stated that the deceased is believed to be around 40 to 45 years old. Initial observations suggest that the body had been lying at the spot for nearly two days before it was recovered. Authorities suspect the victim died after falling from a passing train.
Another Victim Found in Ambala Cantt Rail Yard
In a separate incident, another unidentified man’s body was found inside the Ambala Cantonment railway yard. GRP investigating officer Manjit Kaur said the deceased appeared to be 24 to 25 years old.
Police noted that the victim had the letters “PK” tattooed on his right arm. Preliminary investigation indicates that he also died after falling from a moving train.
GRP Begins Investigation
The Government Railway Police have registered proceedings in both cases and shifted the bodies to the civil hospital mortuary. Officials are working to establish the identities of the deceased and have appealed to the public for any information that could help identify them.
The exact circumstances surrounding both incidents are still under investigation. GRP officials will examine available evidence and await post-mortem reports before confirming the cause of death.
