Ambala Road Accident – A devastating road accident on the Ambala–Jagadhri Highway left ten members of a family from Saharanpur injured after their Tempo Traveller collided with a Hydra crane near Rampur Mor in Ambala Cantonment early Thursday morning.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. when the family was returning from a vacation in Kashmir. The Tempo Traveller, carrying several family members including women and children, crashed into a Hydra crane that was turning on the highway. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was badly damaged, triggering panic and cries for help at the accident scene.
Local residents, passersby, and police personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. After considerable effort, the injured passengers were safely pulled from the mangled vehicle and shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The injured family members are residents of Peer Wali Gali in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Those hurt in the collision include Abdul Wahid, Jahangir Alam, Gulfam, Salman, Avdot, Samat, Misba, Gulafshan, Uzma, and 10-year-old Mahima. Due to the seriousness of their injuries, four victims, including the child, were referred to PGI for advanced medical care.
Officials stated that the family had hired the Tempo Traveller for a summer holiday trip to Kashmir and was on its return journey when the accident occurred. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the exact cause and whether negligence played a role.
The incident caused temporary disruption on the highway and has once again highlighted concerns regarding road safety during long-distance travel, particularly during nighttime and early morning hours.
