Ambala News: Dhruv, Yudhveer and Karandeep Shine at State Boxing Championship

Ambala, August 26, 2026: Three young boxers from Ambala delivered strong performances at the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) State Boxing Championship, bringing recognition to the district with their performances.

The state-level boxing championship was held in Bhiwani and concluded on August 20. Boxers from the Boxing Centre at War Heroes Memorial Stadium, Ambala Cantt, participated in the competition under the guidance of boxing coach Sanjay.

Three Ambala Boxers Put Up Strong Performances

According to coach Sanjay, Dhruv, Yudhveer Singh and Karandeep Singh represented Ambala in different age and weight categories.

Dhruv, a student of GSSS Baldev Nagar, competed in the Under-19 category in the 49–52 kg weight division. He secured a medal with his performance at the championship.

Yudhveer Singh, a student of LMJP School, competed in the Under-17 44–46 kg category and also secured a medal.

Meanwhile, Karandeep Singh, a student of Police DAV School, participated in the Under-14 44–46 kg category and won a medal.

Players Welcomed at Ambala Cantt Stadium

The young boxers were welcomed at the War Heroes Memorial Stadium in Ambala Cantt after returning from the championship. Their performance was appreciated by coaches and others associated with the boxing centre.

The achievements of the three young athletes highlight the growing talent in boxing in Ambala. Their performances at the state-level SGFI championship also provide encouragement to other young players training at the city’s boxing centre.

Ambala Boxers Continue to Make Their Mark

The participation of young athletes in state-level competitions provides them with valuable competitive experience and an opportunity to compete against talented boxers from across Haryana. The performances of Dhruv, Yudhveer Singh and Karandeep Singh have added another achievement to Ambala’s sporting record.
