According to the police investigation, the accused arrived at Ambala Cantonment Railway Station on the night before the incident. After spending some time near the station, he allegedly stole a motorcycle early the next morning.
Using the stolen bike, he travelled to the Baldev Nagar area, where he forcibly dragged a Class 7 student into nearby bushes while she was on her way to school. Police said he attempted to sexually assault the minor before fleeing the spot.
