CM Honours 250 Meritorious Students in Ambala
Ambala, August 6: Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini honoured more than 250 meritorious students during the Utkrisht Shiksha Puraskar 2026 ceremony held at the auditorium of Police DAV School, Ambala City. The event, organized by Pooja Foundation in association with HPSC, recognized students from over 70 schools who excelled in Class 10, Class 12, and various competitive examinations.
Addressing students, teachers, and parents, the Chief Minister reiterated the Haryana government’s commitment to ensuring that no talented student is deprived of opportunities due to financial or social constraints. He emphasized that the state’s education policies focus on transparency, equal opportunities, and merit-based recognition.
“Talent Deserves Respect”: CM Naib Singh Saini
Speaking as the chief guest, Naib Singh Saini said that every hardworking student in Haryana should have confidence that success depends on dedication rather than recommendations or unfair means.
He stated that the government has created an education system where merit is valued and deserving students receive the support needed to achieve their dreams. According to the Chief Minister, recognizing talented youth is one of the greatest services to society because they will shape Haryana’s future.
More Than 250 Students Receive Excellence Awards
During the ceremony, over 250 outstanding students were felicitated for their exceptional academic achievements. Students representing more than 70 educational institutions across the region received certificates and honours in recognition of their performance.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from educators, parents, and community leaders, making it one of the significant educational award functions held in Ambala this year.
Good Marks Open Doors, Character Builds Identity
While motivating students, the Chief Minister said that academic scores are important because they create opportunities, but a person’s character and values determine long-term success.
He encouraged students to remain dedicated to their parents, teachers, and society while contributing towards the vision of Developed India 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stressed that today’s youth will play the most important role in achieving that national goal.
Haryana Government Highlighted Education Initiatives
The Chief Minister also highlighted several flagship education initiatives introduced by the Haryana Government, including:
- Mission Buniyaad
- Super-100 Programme
- PM SHRI Schools
- Sanskriti Model Schools
He said these schemes are helping talented students from economically weaker backgrounds secure admissions to prestigious institutions such as IITs and medical colleges.

Former minister Aseem Goel welcomed the Chief Minister and appreciated the Haryana government’s education and sports policies.
Meanwhile, Vinod Kumar, founder of Pooja Foundation, thanked the Chief Minister for bringing the IMT project to Ambala and requested the establishment of cluster centres to support local traders.
