Ambala Schools Reopen After Summer Vacation, Students Welcomed with Tilak and Sweets

Ambala schools reopen, Haryana: Schools across Ambala reopened on Wednesday after the summer vacation, bringing back the excitement of classrooms filled with students. Educational institutions marked the beginning of the new academic session by giving children a warm welcome with tilak ceremonies, sweets, and cheerful greetings, creating a festive atmosphere on campus.

Students Receive Traditional Welcome

At the Government Model Sanskriti Primary School in Kardhan, Ambala Cantonment, Principal Poonam Rani and members of the teaching staff welcomed students at the school entrance.

Each child was greeted with a tilak on the forehead and offered sweets before entering the school premises. The initiative was aimed at making students feel comfortable and enthusiastic as they returned to school after their long summer break.

Children were delighted to reunite with their classmates and teachers, with many sharing stories and experiences from their vacations.

Academic Activities Begin on Day One

Although attendance remained slightly lower than usual on the first day after the holidays, schools wasted no time in resuming regular academic activities.

Teachers immediately began class-wise lessons and interacted with students to help them transition smoothly back into the learning environment. The focus remained on rebuilding study habits and encouraging discipline from the very first day.

Principal Encourages Positive Learning Environment

Principal Poonam Rani said it was heartening to see students return to school with smiling faces after the holidays. She emphasized that the school aims to keep children motivated and engaged in both academics and discipline throughout the new session.

She added that creating a welcoming environment helps students adjust more comfortably after an extended vacation.

Parents Appreciate the Initiative

Parents also welcomed the school’s thoughtful gesture of receiving children with traditional tilak and sweets. Many said the warm reception helped reduce anxiety among younger students and made the first day of school a memorable experience.

With regular classes now underway, schools across Ambala are expected to return to full attendance over the coming days.
