Ambala News: 26 Establishments Issued Notices, Coaching Institutes to Be Surveyed

Ambala Fire Safety Survey – The Fire Department in Ambala has issued notices to 26 commercial establishments found operating without the required Fire No Objection Certificate (NOC). The action comes after investigations revealed that several businesses in the district were functioning without complying with fire safety regulations.

According to officials, hotels make up the largest share of the establishments that have received notices. However, concerns extend beyond hotels to coaching institutes, restaurants, and other commercial facilities that may not have adequate fire safety arrangements in place.

A major issue identified by the department is that many coaching centers and business establishments are operating in narrow lanes and congested areas, making emergency evacuation and firefighting operations difficult in the event of a fire. Such locations pose a significant risk to students, staff, customers, and residents.

To address these concerns, the Fire Department has announced a comprehensive survey of coaching institutes and other commercial establishments across the district. The survey aims to identify businesses lacking fire safety compliance and ensure that necessary precautions are implemented.

Officials stated that all institutions and establishments will be covered under the inspection drive. The department is expected to take further action against organizations that fail to meet safety standards, emphasizing the importance of public safety and adherence to fire regulations.
