Ambala Hotel Manager FIR, Haryana: Police have registered an FIR against the manager of a hotel in Ambala Cantonment for allegedly providing accommodation to a suspicious guest without verifying identity documents or recording the guest’s details in the mandatory register.
The incident came to light at Hotel Rose, located in the Lal Kurti Bazaar area of Ambala Cantt. According to officials, the hotel manager allegedly violated government regulations by allowing a young man to stay in a room without collecting any valid identification proof.
The matter surfaced following a tip-off received by law enforcement authorities. During an inspection, police reportedly found that the guest’s details had not been entered into the hotel register, a mandatory requirement under state regulations designed to ensure security and proper monitoring of visitors.
Authorities stated that hotels and guest houses are required to verify the identity of every guest and maintain accurate records. Failure to comply with these rules can pose security risks and hinder investigations when suspicious individuals are involved.
Following the inspection, police registered a case against the hotel manager for violating prescribed procedures. Officials have launched an investigation to determine whether any additional violations occurred and to identify the individual who was provided accommodation without proper documentation.
Law enforcement agencies have reiterated their appeal to hotel owners and managers to strictly follow government guidelines regarding guest verification and record maintenance. Authorities warned that strict legal action would be taken against establishments found violating these regulations.
The investigation remains ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the case.
