Ambala bull attack, Haryana: A schoolgirl was injured after a bull suddenly attacked her while she was on her way to school in the Lalkurti market area of Ambala on Monday morning. The frightening incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, and the footage has brought renewed attention to the growing problem of stray cattle in the area.
According to the CCTV footage, the girl was walking along the road carrying her schoolbag when a bull standing near the roadside suddenly became aggressive. The bull first attempted to hit the girl, but its horns became entangled with her schoolbag and it moved away.
However, the danger did not end there. As the schoolgirl continued walking, the bull attacked her again. This time, it caught her with its horns, lifted her into the air and threw her onto the road. The girl was reportedly lifted around five feet into the air before falling onto a road divider.
The impact left the schoolgirl unconscious. Passersby immediately came to her assistance and took her to the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment for first aid and treatment. She suffered injuries to her head and forehead.
Locals Concerned Over Stray Cattle
The incident has caused anger and concern among local residents and the girl’s family. People living in the Lalkurti area say that stray cattle have become a recurring problem in the Cantonment Board region.
A local eyewitness, Rajesh Kumar, said that the same bull has allegedly attacked people on several occasions in the past. He also claimed that an elderly person had previously been hit by the animal.
Residents said that groups of stray cattle can frequently be seen roaming around the area, creating risks for pedestrians, schoolchildren and motorists. They have urged the Cantonment Board to take immediate action and move stray cattle and aggressive bulls to a suitable shelter or gaushala.
The latest incident has once again raised concerns about the safety of people travelling through Lalkurti and the need for authorities to address the stray cattle problem before a more serious accident occurs.
