Resham Singh Anmol Raises Questions After Defender Fuel Pump Failure

Ambala: Punjabi singer and Ambala resident Resham Singh Anmol has raised concerns over the quality and availability of petrol after his Land Rover Defender reportedly developed a fuel pump problem. In a video shared on social media, the singer claimed that E20 Fuel, or ethanol-blended petrol, was responsible for the failure.

The luxury Defender, which Anmol said is worth more than ₹1.5 crore, reportedly stopped suddenly while he was travelling. According to the singer, the vehicle had already undergone its first service before the incident.

Defender Stopped Suddenly After First Service

In the video, Resham Singh Anmol was seen standing beside his white Defender and explaining what happened. He said the vehicle suddenly stopped while he was on the road.

The car was subsequently taken to an authorised service centre in Chandigarh. According to Anmol, service centre officials told him that poor-quality fuel had caused serious damage to the fuel pump and that the component would need to be replaced.

The singer subsequently raised concerns about the fuel being used in his vehicle and questioned whether E20 petrol could be linked to the problem. His comments have sparked discussion among vehicle owners about fuel quality and the availability of different petrol grades.

Premium Petrol Difficult to Find

Anmol said that after the incident, he stopped using regular petrol and began looking for premium fuel such as XP-95 and XP-100.

However, he claimed that he visited around six to seven petrol pumps but could not find the premium fuel he was looking for. According to him, staff at the outlets said the required fuel was not available in stock.

The singer said the situation has made it difficult for vehicle owners who want to choose higher-grade fuel for their cars.

Singer Says He Received Threats

Resham Singh Anmol also said that after speaking publicly about his experience, some people accused him of promoting an agenda. He claimed that he had also received threats after sharing his concerns.

He said he was simply sharing what he believed had happened with his vehicle and wanted greater clarity for consumers.

Appeal to Government and Petroleum Ministry

Anmol appealed to the government and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to provide an official list of petrol stations where premium and higher-quality fuel is available.

He said such information would make it easier for motorists to choose the appropriate fuel and avoid unnecessary inconvenience.

The singer also asked other vehicle owners whether they had experienced similar problems that they believed could be linked to poor-quality or E20 petrol.

While Anmol has attributed his Defender’s fuel pump failure to the fuel used in the vehicle, the claim remains his account of the incident. The report does not establish independently that E20 petrol caused the mechanical failure.
