Young swimmers from Ambala delivered an outstanding performance at the CBSE North Zone Girls Swimming Championship, winning a total of 10 medals and securing qualification for the CBSE National Swimming Championship 2026.
The championship was held at Montessori School, Pathankot, from July 20 to July 22, where swimmers from across the North Zone competed in various events.
Ambala Swimmers Shine in North Zone Championship
Three talented swimmers from Ambala—Pawani, Harshita, and Ojaswani—played a key role in the district’s impressive medal haul.
Pawani Wins Three Medals
Representing Mind Tree School, Pawani claimed three medals, including:
- Gold – 50m Butterfly
- Gold – 100m Freestyle
- Silver – 200m Individual Medley (IM)
Her outstanding performance made her one of the top performers from Ambala at the championship.
Harshita Secures Three Medals
Harshita, representing Police DAV School, also earned three medals:
- Silver – 50m Breaststroke
- Bronze – 200m Individual Medley (IM)
- Bronze – 100m Freestyle
Her consistent performance contributed significantly to Ambala’s overall success.
Ojaswani Wins Four Medals
Representing Army School, Ojaswani emerged as the district’s highest medal winner with four medals:
- Silver – 200m Individual Medley (IM)
- Silver – 200m Butterfly
- Silver – 100m Freestyle
- Bronze – 100m Butterfly
Her remarkable achievement further strengthened Ambala’s presence in the championship.
Qualified for CBSE National Championship
Following their excellent performances, Pawani, Harshita, and Ojaswani have qualified for the CBSE National Swimming Championship, scheduled to be held in October 2026.
