Drug Peddlers Houses Sealed, Ambala, Haryana | July 23, 2026
In a major crackdown on properties allegedly linked to drug trafficking, a joint team of the Ambala Police and the Municipal Corporation sealed 12 houses in Deha Colony on Wednesday. Authorities stated that the properties were allegedly constructed using proceeds from illegal drug-related activities.
Joint Operation Against Illegal Assets
The operation was carried out under the directions of Inspector General of Police (Ambala Range) Pankaj Nain and supervised by Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Shekhawat. To prevent any law and order issues during the drive, a heavy police force was deployed under the supervision of a duty magistrate.
Officials said the sealed properties belong to individuals facing multiple criminal cases registered at different police stations, with several cases involving violations under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Multiple Criminal Cases Against Property Owners
According to the police, one of the accused, Vicky alias Gattu, has approximately 42 criminal cases registered against him. Most of these cases relate to drug trafficking and theft.
Authorities also stated that several women are allegedly involved in the illegal network. At least one woman associated with the case has previously been prosecuted under the NDPS Act and reportedly spent eight months in jail.
Administration Continues Anti-Drug Campaign
Officials described the action as part of the district administration’s ongoing campaign to curb drug trafficking and dismantle illegal assets created through criminal activities. Further legal proceedings against the accused are expected as investigations continue.
