HTET 2026 Exam to Be Held on July 4-5; 12,219 Candidates from Ambala and Panchkula to Appear

HTET Exam 2026 – The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 will be conducted on July 4 and July 5 across designated examination centers in Ambala and Panchkula. To ensure a smooth, fair, and malpractice-free examination process, the district administration has implemented strict security measures and prohibitory orders around all exam centers.

According to Ambala Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomar, Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, will remain in force on both examination days. Authorities have warned that anyone violating the restrictions will face legal action under Section 223.

HTET 2026 Exam Schedule

The examination will be conducted in three levels over two days:

  • July 4, 2026 (Saturday):
    • Level-3 (PGT): 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
  • July 5, 2026 (Sunday):
    • Level-2 (TGT): 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
    • Level-1 (PRT): 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM

A total of 12,219 candidates from Ambala and Panchkula districts are expected to appear for the examination.

Number of Candidates and Examination Centres

The examination has been divided into three levels:

  • Level-3 (PGT): 4,114 candidates across 13 examination centres
  • Level-2 (TGT): 6,141 candidates across 20 examination centres
  • Level-1 (PRT): 1,964 candidates across 7 examination centres

District officials have completed all necessary preparations to ensure the examination is conducted without disruptions.

Strict Restrictions Around Exam Centres

To maintain law and order during the examination, several restrictions have been imposed:

  • Entry of unauthorized persons within 500 metres of examination centres is prohibited.
  • Mobile phones and electronic gadgets will not be allowed inside exam centres.
  • Photocopy and printing shops located near examination centres will remain closed from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both exam days.
  • Adequate police personnel will be deployed to manage security and traffic around the venues.

Authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate and avoid unnecessary movement near examination centres.

High-Tech Measures to Prevent Cheating

The administration has introduced multiple technology-driven measures to ensure transparency during the HTET 2026 examination.

These include:

  • Signal jammers at examination centres
  • Biometric attendance verification
  • CCTV surveillance
  • Complete videography of examination proceedings
  • Thorough security checks before entry

Only authorized officials and examination staff carrying valid identity cards will be allowed inside the centres.

Administration Appeals for Cooperation

Officials have requested candidates to reach their examination centres well before reporting time and strictly follow all examination guidelines. Candidates are advised not to carry prohibited items and to cooperate with security personnel for smooth entry.

The district administration has expressed confidence that the comprehensive security arrangements will help conduct the HTET exam in Ambala and Panchkula peacefully, fairly, and without any malpractice.
